Initially, start at 70% of the preset speed and run unloaded for 3-5 minutes to confirm the equipment is functioning correctly before gradually increasing to the target speed. Avoid sudden high-speed starts that could overload the motor. During production, if insufficient pellet extrusion is observed (e.g., slow settling, excessively hard texture), increase the speed by 50-100 r/min to increase frictional heat and extrusion pressure. If excessive extrusion occurs (e.g., brittleness, poor water resistance), decrease the speed by 50-80 r/min. For example, when producing carp feed, start at 250 r/min initially, gradually increasing to 320 r/min. Observe the pellet condition; if insufficient extrusion is found, fine-tune to 350 r/min to ensure pellet settling speed of 3-5 seconds and water resistance of over 8 hours.


Feed speed control requirements: Ensure stable pressure in the extrusion chamber. The feeding speed must be coordinated with the screw speed to avoid insufficient or excessive raw material supply, which could lead to fluctuations in extrusion pressure. The feeding devices of dry-type fish feed making machines are mostly designed with variable frequency speed control. During operation, the feeding speed needs to be adjusted according to the pressure display in the extrusion chamber (normal range 4-6 MPa): if the pressure is below 4 MPa, it indicates insufficient raw material supply, and the feeding speed needs to be increased; if the pressure is above 6 MPa, it indicates excessive raw material, and the feeding speed needs to be reduced. For example, when the pressure drops to 3.5 MPa, increasing the feeding speed from 100 kg/h to 120 kg/h can restore the pressure to 4.5 MPa; when the pressure rises to 6.5 MPa, reduce the feeding speed to 80 kg/h to avoid overloading the equipment due to excessive pressure. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure uniform feeding, which can be assisted by a vibrating feeding device to prevent raw material bridging and blockage.


Pressure and temperature monitoring requirements: Real-time control of the puffing state of the dry-type floating fish feed pellet making machine. During operation, the pressure and temperature of the extrusion chamber need to be monitored in real time. The normal temperature range is 120-160℃, and the pressure is 4-6MPa. If the temperature exceeds the range, it needs to be adjusted immediately. Excessive temperature (above 160℃) will cause the raw material to scorch and lose nutrients, requiring a reduction in screw speed or feed rate to increase heat dissipation. Excessive temperature (below 120℃) will result in insufficient melting of the raw material, requiring an increase in screw speed or a reduction in feed rate to increase frictional heat. For example, when the temperature rises to 170℃, reduce the screw speed from 350r/min to 300r/min, while checking the heat dissipation channels in the extrusion chamber for blockage; when the temperature drops to 110℃, increase the speed to 380r/min to ensure sufficient melting and expansion of the raw material. When pressure fluctuations exceed ±0.5MPa, the feed rate should be adjusted first to avoid sudden pressure increases or decreases that could cause die blockage or fluctuations in particle quality.
